Description
The RUK-S is a simplified version of it’s predecessor the RUK. It keeps the basics of the one handed blade deployment and the pry bar but comes in at a more affordable price for everyone that doesn’t want to break the bank. It also comes in Left and Right handed versions.
• Pry bar (Aluminum is for Light Duty tasks)
• Solid 0ne piece design
I carry a knife on me every day and I had noticed I mainly use it for small things like opening boxes and such. I rarely use the entire edge of a blade and that is why I decided to design and build the RUK and now the RUK-S!
The RUK-S is a pocket size utility knife that uses standard utility blades and can be controlled all by one hand. It has a simple “Patented:10,919,164” design to extend and retract the blade like you would with a sliding USB Flash drive but also locks in both the retracted and extended positions.
The body of the RUK-S is CNC machined out of high strength materials. It is so slim and light you can’t even tell it is in your pocket!
RUK-S Materials available
• Anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum
• 360 Brass
Made in the USA

I was told about the Ruk, and it was suggested to me to buy one, because I am a minimalist. I love the small wallets and gadgets. The Ruk has far exceeded any expectations that I had. it fits in my hand way better then I anticipated. the feel of the Ruk doesn’t give a false security when your holding onto it. with its ability to have replacement blades is over the top since I cannot figure out how to correctly sharpen a knife so this part is an essential for me. the way it safely locks in the retraced position and the extended position is of great comfort when I am pulling this in and out of my pocket. The best part of the Ruk is how it fits in my pocket, to be honest I cannot feel its there. I can feel my car key fob and my house keys but not the Ruk. its not cumbersome in my pocket and doesn’t move around to the point that it causes any problems while I am moving around doing my job or sitting in the car.
I highly highly recommend the Ruk you will not be disappointed from the quality of the machining to the operation of the Ruk to the everyday carry around.
Thank you Paul for recommending this to me.

I’m a big fan of the RUK-S. I don’t know why it took me so long to reveiw. It’s just perfect for so many occasions and compact enough to never not have it on you. I use mine at work because it’s quick, convienent, and when it gets dull the blade changes out easily. I attached mine to a retractable lanyard for easier access and I don’t even have to take my gloves off to use it. There’s a stop so the blade doesn’t come all the way out the front. The grip is comfortable with lil recesses for your fingers and some gimping for those extra tough cuts. Blade deployment and retraction is simple and smooth. You don’t need two hands to use it and it doesn’t chafe your thumb like others I’ve encountered. This is it, right here. You made it. Stop looking. Only thing left to decide is Aluminum for light duty or Brass for heavy duty use and abuse. Whichever way you roll, I’m confident you won’t be disappointed. The RUK V2 is the only other comparable thing. Plus, it’s got bells and whistles. I’ve ordered several brass and aluminum versions of both styles for coworkers, friends, and family and they are all extremely happy. Thanks, Gil-Tek.
